📋 Steps to Request Account & Personal Data Deletion
Users of the Shata mobile application and platform may request complete deletion of their user account and associated personal data through the following steps:
- Submit Request: Complete the verified request form below or email our dedicated privacy desk at privacy@shata.in with your registered mobile number or email.
- Identity Verification (within 48 hours): To prevent fraudulent or unauthorized deletion of active accounts, our compliance team dispatches an OTP or email confirmation to verify account ownership.
- Permanent Erasure (within 30 days): Once confirmed, your user account credentials, active profile, and associated personal records are permanently erased from our production databases.
✓ Data Permanently Deleted:
- User account profile & credentials
- Registered mobile number & email
- Saved addresses, event bookmarks & notes
- In-app chat transcripts & inquiries
- Promotional & marketing communication preferences
ℹ Data Retained & Retention Period:
Financial invoices, tax receipts, and payment transaction logs are retained for 7 statutory years as strictly mandated by Indian taxation and accounting laws (Section 128 of the Companies Act, 2013 and Rule 56 of CGST Rules, 2017). After this period, they are securely purged.
